Project ADRIFT (Assessing the Debris-Related Impact of Tsunami Debris). This project is funded by the Ministry of Environment of Japan through the North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES). The goal is to assess and forecast the effects of this debris, especially those related to potentially invasive species on ecosystem structure and function, the coastlines, and communities of the west coast of North America and Hawaii, and to suggest research and management actions to mitigate any impacts.

Cumulative Effects & Risk Assessment: A joint collaboration between CHANS Lab and Department of Fisheries & Oceans Canada, we have developed and tested an ecological risk assessment framework to examine cumulative effects on species and habitats within the Pacific North Coast Integrated Management Area (PNCIMA).

Canadian Boat Survey: The Canadian Boat Survey is a multidisciplinary project which combined biological surveys and behavioural questionnaires to investigate the link between recreational boating movements and invasive species introduction in Canada.

Cataloguing BC Biodiversity: Our lab designed and created a digital online museum database in association with the Beaty Biodiversity Museum at UBC and the Encyclopedia of Life.  It displays species information and photographs ofr BC invertebrates encountered and identified during our background and invasive species surveys.

MISLab: I served as laboratory manager and senior researcher for the MISLab, which included graduate students, research technicians and volunteers researching marine invasive species in British Columbia.
